Following on from our successful inaugural one day Summit in March 2009 ISACA Sydney is providing members with 7hours of CPE for the low cost of $199 + GST.

Upon successfully passing the CISA, CISM or CGEIT exam, individuals have five years to apply for certification.

You may be at risk of lossing your certification if you have not reported your minimum of 20 CPE hours for 2008.

This is a final reminder to those members who have not renewed their ISACA membership for 2009.

ISACA International Membership Board has awarded the Gold-Level Award to the Sydney Chapter in recognition of the hard works that were put in for the design, content and management of our chapter web site.

Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA (16 March 2009)—ISACA, a nonprofit association serving 86,000 IT governance professionals worldwide, has awarded 20 chapters the 20th annual K. Wayne Snipes Chapter Recognition Award. The award was established in 1989 and recognizes ISACA chapters that meet or exceed service goals by actively supporting local membership and, thus, the information systems audit and control profession.

Sydney Chapter is again running a series of Review Sessions for both the CISA® and CISM® to help candidates prepare for the exam. The CISA®, CISM® and CGEIT® exams will be held concurrently on Saturday, 13 June, 2009. The Review Sessions will be based on the US-supplied CISA® and CISM® course with local speaker adaptation and will include a session guide containing copies of all the presentation slides with room for notes, etc.

ISACA members and their colleagues are invited to a FREE introductory session aimed at new and potential members and people interested in sitting for the CISA, CISM or CGEIT examinations. Members and their guests will enjoy beer tasting and a range of pie’s while learning more about the certifications from thought leaders in the industry.
